Students who thrive in my studio are curious, willing to practise regularly, and excited to explore music in depth. My aim is to develop confident, aware and musical students.
Studio Philosophy
Learning piano is about far more than simply playing pieces. In my studio students develop musicianship — understanding how music works, performing with confidence, and thinking creatively at the keyboard.
Lessons explore: repertoire / technique / harmony / theory / improvisation and creative musical thinking. Students are encouraged to ask questions, experiment and gradually become independent musicians.
Who is Josh Wilkinson?
Josh Wilkinson is a pianist, conductor and educator based in Alford.
He works widely with ensembles and choirs across Lincolnshire and has performed and accompanied at festivals, opera, universities and concerts across the UK.
This professional experience informs his teaching, helping students develop real musical understanding and performance confidence.
